New Stampin' Up! 2023 Color Refresh

Hi Stamping Friends! 

About every five years Stampin' Up! does what they call a "color refresh", they retire some colors and bring in some new ones (or returning favorites from previous in-color collections). Our last color refresh was done in 2018, so we were due!

Above is a graphic showing which colors will be retiring.  They are retiring eleven core colors: Mango Melody, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point, Merry Merlot, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Pear Pizazz and Mint Macaron.  They are also retiring four in-colors: Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, Soft Succulent and Evening 

One of the 2021-2023 in-colors, Fresh Freesia, will be moving into our core collection and sticking around - Yippee!

May 2nd Stampin' Up! is releasing four brand new colors: Pecan Pie, Azure Afternoon, Bubble Bath and Lemon Lolly.  In addition to keeping Fresh Freesia, they are bringing back six more previous in-colors: Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Lost Lagoon, Misty Moonlight, Blueberry Bushel and Pretty Peacock. 

In addition to the Stampin' Up! 2023 Color Refresh, May 2nd they will also release the 2023-2025 In-Color Collection: Copper Clay, Wild Wheat, Boho Blue, Moody Mauve & Pebbled Path.

May 27th Class Announcement:

Hello Ladies! 
Well, the first month’s classes are in the books and I’m happy to say all went well! It has been way too long! I’m so happy to be back!
 
It was great fun to see some of you and I’m hoping more of you will feel comfortable coming back for classes in my home.   
 
Nick and I have both been fully vaccinated and are feeling more comfortable since so many are choosing to do the same. 
 
Classes will resume on the 4^th Thursday of the month.
Next classes are on May 27th. 
Two time slots with limited seating at 9:30a & 6:30p.
I will have hand sanitizer and wipes on each table for your safety. Masks are encouraged. 

As a reminder: We will make 4 projects for a class fee of $20. Or if you choose, you may place a minimum order from the Stamping Up catalog of $35, before tax and shipping, at the time of the class, and your class is free. If you don’t already have one, I will have the new annual catalog for you at class.  

RSVP to this email by May 21^st and tell me which time slot you would like.  I will respond so you know if you got one of the spots. 
 
Since I don’t require prepayment for these classes, PLEASE-if you RSVP yes, and your plans change, kindly let me know ASAP. This is very important right now, since I am limiting the number of participants.  This could free up a spot for another crafter.  And it also eliminates wasted class kits. 

Remember to bring your basic supply kit: small scissors, adhesive, glue dots, bone folder, etc. I don’t supply adhesives with classes, however, I do have adhesives for sale if you need them. Come and let’s have some fun creating together. 😊

BAY WINDOW FUN FOLD 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

·       Card Base: Gorgeous Grape, 4 1/4 x 11,  score on the long side at 3/8,  1 7/8,  3 5/8,  5 1/8,  5 1/2

·       DSP: Hydrangea Hill : 4 1/8 x 6 Cut in the same direction, 1 3/8, 1 5/8, and 1 3/8 , all are by 4 1/8

·       DSP:  Hydrangea Hill, striped: Cut 2 pieces at 1/4 x 4 1/8

·       Adhere 1 5/8 x 4 1/8  piece of DSP floral  to inside of card.  It was the remaining piece of the floral DSP after you cut the 3 pieces for the bay window.

·       Add Tear & Tape inside the 3/8 score line beside the 5 1/2″ card fold. Remove tape and adhere to the card base. This area remains adhered

·       Add striped DSP inside the 3/8 score lines on the front of the card base on each end. 

·       Adhere floral DSP in the order it was cut to the front of the card.

·       Stamp sentiment in the center of bay window with Gorgeous Grape .  Greeting: Peaceful Moments

·       Die cut smallest die from Stitched So Sweetly  and attach with dimensionals to  the middle of the DSP panel on the inside of the card.  This will allow the end of the card to tuck under when it is open to create the bay window.

·       Cut Basic Purple Posy CS 3 ¼ x 4 1/8  Stamp inside greeting & adhere to inside   Greeting: Flowering Cactus

·       Die cut 2 small butterflies and adhere to front & inside with Mini Glue Dots.

·       Color Rhinestones with Highland Heather blends and embellish card.
